Bottled Mushrooms! Yummy!

I wouldn't call myself a mushroom fan although I don't mind shitake mushrooms. But Yit Hong, the distributor of Narcissus canned button mushrooms and Ma Ling luncheon meat, has rolled out a new range of delicious bottled mushrooms. With no preservatives and artificial colourings, Yifon mushrooms are certainly nutritious and tasty!

There are several ways Yifon mushrooms can be eaten:

  • As garnishing for instant noodles. The mushrooms are so tasty they go well with any flavour of instant noodles. Good way to add nutrititional value to otherwise plain and nutritionless instant noodles.
  • An additional ingredient in stir-fried vegetables. Good to go with dishes like chap chye and stir-fried French beans, snake gourd and so on.
  • As toppings for boiled kai lan.
  • As a dish by itself, the Yifon mushrooms, especially the spicy golden mushrooms, go well with plain porridge. This really whips up my appetite, considering I don't like plain porridge!
